The guage that I was sent is marked as “Tachikara Ball Pressure Guage”, but it is very different from the picture shown on the webpage. It only goes up to 15 psi, as opposed to the 20 psi shown in the picture.

The gauge came broken in the package. Upon inspection, the gauge is just a cheap plastic instrument that is way overpriced. Where the break occur is a design flaw that would result in another one breaking in the same manner. I had no desire to exchange the gauge; I just requested my money back.

This guage is fast and accurate and easy to use. I pump the ball up hard and then insert the guage and let out a little until it hits the right psi. Like others have experienced, the scale on the guage I received only goes up to 15 psi but I don’t belive that’s a big deal since the footballs I have all require 13 psi. In fact, it makes for an easier read. It’s a fine guage for the price. I recommend it highly.

Just about every ball we own has an “inflate to xx pounds”. So, what good is a pump alone if you can’t tell how much air pressure you have put into the ball? After buying this gauge, I discovered that every ball was seriously underinflated. The gauge is simple to use and has an air release button so you can adjust the pressure down if you have overinflated the ball. I used it to properly inflate every player’s ball on my son’s soccer team–every ball was low!
